Wednesday 8-28-13

A hot day in Oakland.  This is the last day to drive over the of the eastern span of the Bay Bridge, which my wife did this morning.

It only took 24 years to build it. It cost 4 times what it was projected to cost originally, total 6.5 billion dollars, and it's still not built well. It looks great, but will it hold up in the Big One? Only time will tell. I hope I'm not on it when the Big One hits.

This is Caltrans at it's finest. If you want to fuck something up let the government do it. There will be thousands of on line postings about, much more impressive than this dumb ass blog, so I'll just leave it right here.

That's it.
